In this webinar we will cover the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommended best practice for preventing slips, trips and falls in healthcare. Brad has used this model with great success in two research studies and will provide real world examples and success stories.

Brad offers over 20 years of experience in risk control consulting. He has managed an abundance of projects across the country and is a frequent speaker at a number of professional association events and trade shows. Brad?s personal consulting work most recently focused on healthcare safety and risk management and in 2014 he was a co-winner of the William C. Kelly Safety Leadership Award presented by the Ohio Hospital Association. Brad has also consulted with the Ohio Hospital Association on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services - Partnership for Patients (CMS PfP) project under the topic of 'Integration of Worker and Patient Safety' from 2012 through 2018. From 2015 to 2018, he has also worked with the Washington State Hospital Association as a topic expert regarding culture of safety development also under the CMS PfP. He resides in northeast Ohio with his wife and partner of 24 years Catherine and their children Daisy, Cylas and Wylie.

Each program is approved for one (1.0) hour of credit for Nurses, NHA, Certified Executives for Assisted Living (CEAL), and Certified Executives for Home Care & Hospice (CEHCH). Individual attendance will be monitored throughout the call. Only those attending the entire call will be awarded continuing education credit. All participants regardless of need for CEUs, will receive a certificate of attendance. This course is considered a self-study course by Ohio BELTSS. Administrators are reminded that BELTSS limits webinars (home/self-study) credits to a total of ten (10.0) per renewal period.


How much does it cost?

Facilities will pay one low fee for an unlimited number of participants. However, the number and access code is valid only for one phone line/computer at the location registered with the Association. Any additional phone connections calling in will be billed the individual session registration fee.
