The Ohio Health Care Association is pleased to have teamed up with the American Association of Director of Nursing Services (AADNS) to bring forth the this certification program to long-term care professionals in Ohio. This intensive, two-day program provides all the courses you need to sit for the exam. We invite all professionals involved in the QAPI process to consider this important and valuable certification.

Get the tools you need to prepare for and implement QAPI-mandated regulations in your long-term care facility with a preparatory workshop for QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) certification. Implementing quality assurance and process improvement (QAPI) strategies is nothing new in long-term care. Following these principles helps you fulfill your mission to provide the best possible care and quality of life for residents. What is new are the formal QAPI government standards and regulations.

Implement the five elements of the QAPI program. Evaluate your facility and create an ongoing improvement plan for your facility. Help your team understand and be involved in the process. Apply QAPI principles effectively.

This two-day workshop will complement your nursing expertise with QAPI knowledge and skills to lead your team in quality initiatives. Workshops are taught by individuals who go through rigorous requirements to become Master Teachers and who are experts in the field.

Note: The QCP Certification Examination ? QCP exam is sold separately. Upon purchase, you will have access to the QCP certification exam in the online Classroom. To earn the credential you, must hold a current, active healthcare professional license and pass the examination with a score of 80% or better.

Kristin Bernard-Breese, RN, BSN, RAC-CT,RAC-MT,CPC,QCP-MT

Kristin is the managing director of Post Acute Clinical Advisors, LLC as well as an Independent Nurse Consultant for the Connecticut Department of Public Health assisting facilities within the nurse monitor program. She has previously held positions as Director of Operations, Regional Medicare Specialist, Clinical Reimbursement Specialist, DNS and MDSC. Kristin has been in long term care since 1985 in multiple clinical and operational capacities including MDS and reimbursement since the early 90's. Her focus at Post Acute Clinical Advisors is maintaining clinical competencies to provide quality person center care while managing reimbursement challenges. Kristin also assists facilities with both the clinical and operational implementation of electronic health records . She is currently a Certified Professional Coder (AAPC), one of only a handful of OASIS Master Trainers and a Master Teacher for both the AANAC RAC-CT and QAPI programs. Her years in education make her training sessions much more than just a transfer of information, but a long term supportive relationship with those who have attended programs. She has spoken locally as well as nationally on a variety of clinical and reimbursement topics and has published articles and co-authored an ICD10 systems book. Holding multiple RN licenses in various states allows her to assist clients in federal and state regulation compliance.

Nurses: This program has been approved for 15 contact hours (complete program). The American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordination is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Administrators: This program has been approved for 15 CEUs. The Ohio Health Care Association is an approved provider of continuing education by the Board of Executives of Long-term Services & Supports (BELTSS).
