PDGM Financial Preparation

November 6, Cleveland
November 7, Findlay
November 21, Lewis Center (Columbus area)

4 CEs for Nurses, CPA, CEHCH

The Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) will make substantial changes to the way Home Health Agencies are reimbursed. In order to accommodate the shortened billing time frames and case-mix reimbursement methodologies, agencies will have to make specific operational changes from intake and referral management, through billing and payment posting. Detailed documentation collection, a heightened knowledge of ICD-10 coding and collaborative communication between clinical and financial team members will be crucial for ensuring success for the January 1st, 2020 implementation date.

During our session we will cover:
- Overview of PDGM Reimbursement Changes
- Review Best Practices for Intake and Referral Management
- Discuss Operational Challenges
- Recognize the Connection between Documentation and reimbursement
- Review responses from Managed Care Plans to PDGM changes
- Billing and Cash Flow Preparation
- Cost Report Considerations
- Impact of RCD on PDGM Preparation
