The number of Immediate Jeopardies has risen drastically over the last year. Each incident can lead to more than one citation. With the daily penalty amounts rising, it is imperative to identify and reduce potential risks. Your rehabilitation team should be a resource in developing person centered care plans and educational support for your team. This webinar will cover treatment approaches, clinical pathways, best practices, and modalities that will help reduce the risk of citations.

Objectives:
*The attendee will be able to describe and explain Immediate Jeopardy citation level and some of the risks leading to it.
*The attendee will be able to define some of the Federal regulations in place for Quality of Care and Therapy Policies and Procedures.
*The attendee will be able to list out expectations for the Therapy Department during the survey process.
*The attendee will be able to describe and explain risk areas for Therapy and how to avoid IJ citations in the areas of pressure ulcers, falls and weight loss.

Speakers:
Robin Boyle, PT, CDP - VP of Operations, Premier Therapy
Robin graduated from Cleveland State University with a B.S. in Physical Therapy in 1989. She has over 29 years of clinical experience in geriatrics, specializing in neurological disorders and Alzheimer's/Dementia rehabilitation. Robin has significant work experience in both clinical and operational management including MDS, CMI, Reimbursement, Programming, Compliance and Operational Analyses.
Robin has been recognized as a Keynote Speaker at multi-state levels, and is considered to be a leading industry authority. Robin has presented continuing education classes such as documentation, billing and reimbursement, pain management, comprehensive Dementia care, and evidenced based practice. She is a certified Dementia Practitioner.

Julia Bellucci, MS, CCC-SLP, Director of Clinical Development, Premier Therapy
Julia graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Disorders, and from Clarion University with a M.S. in Speech/Language Pathology. She has over 20 years of clinical experience in geriatrics, specializing in dysphagia, aphasia and cognitive-linguistic disorders. Julie has significant work experience in both clinical and operational management including preparing and processing all levels of appeals for denial management, and has presented continuing education classes on documentation, billing and reimbursement, swallowing, treatment of cognitively impaired patients, quality measures, dementia management, ACOs, risk management, and evidenced based practice.
CEs & Other Education Requirements:

This program is approved for one (1) hour of credit for nursing home administrators and nurses.
How much does it cost?

Facilities will pay one low fee for an unlimited number of participants. However, the number and access code is valid only for one phone line/computer at the location registered with the Association. Any additional phone connections calling in will be billed the individual session registration fee.
