PDGM Preparation with OASIS-D1

November 20, 2019
Columbus, Ohio

6.5 CEs for Nurses, CEHCH

Success with PDGM will rely solely on an accurate OASIS. The OASIS plays a valuable part in quality patient care, accurate financial reimbursement and in publicly reported outcomes. No longer will an agency?s reimbursement rely heavily on the number of therapy visits per episode of care.

The requirement to use the OASIS D1 form takes effect January 1, 2020. There will be several notable changes to the OASIS data set. Any new Start of Care or Resumption of Care or a Follow-Up assessment with an M0090 Date Assessment completed on January 1, 2020 or later should use the revised OASIS-D1.

Changes to the OASIS are based on proposals finalized in the Calendar Year (CY) 2019 Home Health Final Rule for CY 2020. These changes include the addition of two existing items to the follow-up assessment and change from required to optional data collection and change from required to optional data collection at certain time points for 23 items.

Join OHCA & Jennifer Warfield BSN, COS-C, HCS-D as we delve into OASIS D1 by discussing the OASIS items that affect reimbursement and outcomes and ultimately promote optimal patient care. This will include in-depth discussion of the item-by-item tips of the OASIS Manual.
