Integrating Telehealth into the Plan of Care during the PHE

Home Health

June 4, 2-3:30

1 CE for CEHCH, Nurses, NHA

With COVID-19 on the scene we are all learning new ways to safely complete all of life's tasks. Going to the grocery store, picking up prescriptions and even our medical visits have changed drastically since January. Home Care has always been a challenge since the healthcare provider has no control over the visit setting, a person's home. This is complicated by the fact that many of our home care patients are in high risk groups. With this new normal, we have to find ways to limit our patient's exposure to the outside world while simultaneously protecting our healthcare workers. Telehealth can help to decrease unnecessary exposure for both patient and employee. It is imperative that you understand the specific guidelines on telehealth as well as the clinical requirements if you plan to incorporate telehealth into your agency.

Objectives:
During this free member webinar we will:
- Discuss when and how you can best use telehealth throughout this COVID-19 crisis
- Explore the regulatory relaxations related to home health telehealth through the public health emergency (PHE)
- Discuss billing considerations for telehealth visits
- Review technological considerations for utilizing telehealth
- Hear real life experience from a home health agency currently integrating telehealth in their clients' plan of care
