A limited number of rooms have been blocked at the OHCA rate. The hotel may have additional rooms available once all of the OHCA rooms are gone, but they may not be at the special rate, even if you contact them prior to the cut off date. It is unlikely that they will be able to extend the cutoff date of October 26, 2021 due to the busy nature of their hotel and since rooms go quickly, there may not be any available rooms left at that point.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) in June 2021 regarding COVID-19 in healthcare settings. Consultant Brad Hunt will review major aspects of the OSHA ETS for DD providers and share tips for compliance.

This session will focus on common medication administration citations and major unusual incidents related to medication administration. Deb Maloy with Tarrytown Expocare and President-Elect of DDNA will share pitfalls agencies need to avoid when it comes to medication administration and how to effectively maintain compliance.

3:30 ? 4:30pm OhioISP System Demonstration
During this session, Heather Stubbs from DODD will present a demonstration of the new Ohio Individualized Service Plan and Assessment (OhioISP). While providers and county boards have until September 2022 to begin using the new OhioISP, some may start utilizing it within the next few months. All DD service providers should attend this session to become familiar with DODD?s OhioISP system.

DODD Director Jeff Davis will join us to share the latest news on high priority initiatives being undertaken by the department. Currently, DODD is working on initiatives impacting the workforce crisis, creating a single assessment and service plan across all settings, contracting with a consultant to review waiver reimbursement rates and more. There will be time for Q&A so come prepared to ask Director Davis any burning questions you may have about our field.
