Session Title: 483.25 Quality of Care Requirements Presentation Date: 6/13/2023 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
This session will provide an overview of the Quality of Care regulations at 483.25, with an emphasis on the review the most commonly cited Quality of Care requirements. Strategies to avoid citations related to Quality of Care will be emphasized through discussion of: Actual citation examples, Strategies for successfully managing the survey process & understanding the critical element pathways used to guide surveyor investigations, & implementing survey preparedness activities to prevent Quality of Care citations.
Projected Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives: At the conclusion of each session, the learner will: 1. Identify the regulatory requirements related to Quality of Care 2. Identify survey procedures that describe how Quality of Care requirements are reviewed for compliance during the annual survey process 3. Identify examples of how Quality of Care requirements are commonly cited in the long-term care survey process 4. Explain strategies for incorporating survey preparedness related to Quality of Care into facility QAPI processes
