This session is part of a 8-week webinar series emphasizes skill building for the Post-Acute Care Infection Preventionist with a focus on establishing and managing an effective IPC program in the SNF/LTC/AL setting.

This session will discuss the role of surveillance in the IPC program and how to conduct surveillance activities.

Projected Learning Outcomes/Course Objectives: At the conclusion of each session, the learner will:
1. Describe the role of surveillance in the IPC program
2. Describe practical applications of surveillance activities
3. Explain benefit of using standardized definitions in surveillance
