ICF-IID Life Safety Code Bootcamp

The 2012 Life Safety Code implementation and apparent tightening of Life Safety Code interpretations by CMS has resulted in many more deficiencies for ICF-IID facilities.
The LSC establishes minimum criteria for the many protective features and systems, as well as, inspection, testing and maintenance activities. Facilities today must achieve an acceptable degree of safety for all who live and work in our centers. The 2012 edition of the Life Safety Code brought many new fire safety code requirements for ICF IID facilities.
This seminar will review the 2012 LSC requirements and the increased inspection, testing and maintenance required for all facilities plus the most common violations being found in ICF IID facilities.
Objectives: The aim of this seminar is to provide the attendants with a thorough understanding of NFPA 101 and explain the intent behind requirements, so you can implement in your facility.
1. Discuss 2012 life safety code requirements and current priorities focused on by surveyors 2. Examine the 2012 LSC priorities including facility culture change environments 3. Review the leading LSC deficiencies 4. Discuss CMSs development and implementation of the 2012 LSC for ICF IID facilities and the anticipated expectations related for the future compliance. 5. Recommend policies, standards and/or guidelines for immediate review and facility implementation. 6. Examine proactive and practical solutions to achieve and maintain compliance
