This series examines the three domains of the CMS 5-Star Quality Rating System: Health Inspections, Staffing and Quality Measures including how the rating is calculated and analyzing your data with a focus on developing a work plan to improve or maintain 5-Star Status. Common obstacles to 5-Star status will be discussed with tips and strategies for advancing facility performance

JANUARY 29 - 5-Star Overview and Health Inspection Domain This session will provide an overview of the 5-Star Rating System and a focus on the Health Inspections component of Nursing Home Compare's 5-Star Rating System. Tips on how to analyze your data and develop actionable plans to achieve 5-Star rating will be discussed.
FEBRUARY 5 - 5-Star Staffing Rating In this session you will learn how the staffing rating is calculated and how it impacts your overall 5-Star rating. Tips on how to analyze your staffing data and develop actionable plans to achieve 5-Star rating will be discussed.
February 12 - Quality Measure Domain: Part 1 In this session you will learn how the quality measure rating is calculated and how it impacts your overall 5-Star rating, with a discussion on each quality measure that impacts the 5-Star rating. Tips on how to analyze your quality measure data and develop actionable plans to achieve 5-Star rating will be discussed.
February 19 - Quality Measure Domain: Part 2 In this session you will learn how the quality measure rating is calculated and how it impacts your overall 5-Star rating, with a discussion on each quality measure that impacts the 5-Star rating. Tips on how to analyze your quality measure data and develop actionable plans to achieve 5-Star rating will be discussed.
February 26 - Quality Measure Domain: Part 3 In this session you will learn how the quality measure rating is calculated and how it impacts your overall 5-Star rating, with a discussion on each quality measure that impacts the 5-Star rating. Tips on how to analyze your quality measure data and develop actionable plans to achieve 5-Star rating will be discussed.
March 5 - Developing a Facility-Specific Work Plan for 5-Star Improvement This session will focus on developing a work plan to improve your 5-Star Rating

She holds AAPACN?s QAPI Certified Professional (QCP) credential, is certified in healthcare compliance through the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA) and is an Infection Preventionist. She presents extensively on LTC clinical, regulatory, and compliance matters.
