Despite the latest technological advancements in alarms and other devices, elopements continue to be a significant issue associated with Immediate Jeopardy citations and LTC lawsuits. This fifth session of the Reducing Litigation Risk series will explore essential components for elopement management including, but not limited to identifying, evaluating, intervening, and monitoring elopement risk management. Tips and strategies will be shared for the resident elopement assessment, care plan development, and QAPI review of the facility elopement risk systems.
